It's that time again where we at The London Festival Covers Band HQ reminisce about the adventures we've been up to over the course of the year. And this Christmas marks the one year anniversary of Festival Nights, so you can expect an extra dollop of memory lane stuffing in the blog post!
We have been up and down (and back up again) the breadth and width of England from weddings to corporate celebrations playing for and meeting wonderful people from all walks of life! We have played in countless marquees and tipis, on the back of a lorry, for MP's, for soldiers, for navy men, for primary school teachers, for performing arts students, next to swimming pools, nearly in swimming pools, in the middle of nowhere, on a ship moored on the river Thames, in castles, in an Alice in Wonderland themed wood...the list goes on!
The best part about all these experiences is we have all become closer as brothers, even if we were close before - it's a whole different level now! To think that Spud and Lee didn't even know each other a year ago and now look at them - they're happily in love and in a passionate, committed, strong relationship....nah just kidding! Although I do wonder sometimes... In all seriousness though, we have become festival besties - sometimes it's hard work and a lot of tiredness is involved but we just have to remember this is our job; a bunch of good mates travelling around, playing music and getting the chance to make someone's day the best it can be!
With that being said, we would like to wish a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all the people we have had the pleasure of playing for this year! More shenanigans to follow next year!
Lots of love,
